Britta Anderson, PT, DPT, PRPC

founder of Poised Pelvic Society, physical therapist

Hi, I’m Dr. Britta Anderson, founder of Poised Pelvic Society and a physical therapist with over a decade of experience. I earned my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2015 and began my career in traditional outpatient clinics. Early on, I noticed troubling gaps in the system—high patient volumes, declining treatment quality, pressure for creative billing, and insurance companies that prioritized paperwork over people. Despite my certifications and specializations, I was constantly being pushed to do more, see more, bill more—while patient care suffered. After having my children, I was introduced to the transformative world of pelvic floor therapy, and everything clicked. I realized this was the missing piece in so many of the musculoskeletal issues I’d been treating all along.

Fueled by my passion for quality, patient-centered care, I left the corporate, insurance-driven
world and created Poised Pelvic Society in Lake Wylie, SC. Here, I’m proud to offer one-on-one,
60–90 minute sessions where care is individualized, hands-on, and guided by the unique needs
of each patient—not dictated by insurance codes. I believe healing happens when patients are
truly seen and heard.

I’m a Clover, SC native (Go Blue Eagles!), former college soccer player from Anderson
University, and now a mom of two toddlers—Benson and Bailey. I’m deeply rooted in this
community, and it’s my joy to pour back into the place that raised me.

And when I’m not saving the world from pelvic floor dysfunction, you can usually find me
entertaining my two toddlers, cooking, running, staying active, enjoying playdates with friends,
or spending time with family—just living a pretty simple, normal life.
