Poised Pelvic Society

Dr. Britta founded the Poised Pelvic Society out of a realization that most corporations don’t put patient care FIRST

Bio

Britta Anderson received her DPT in Physical Therapy from MUSC in 2015. She has been treating Pelvic Floor Dysfunction since 2021 after having children motivated her to fill a gap in women’s care. She recently attended a residency program where she obtained the industry coveted Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC). With over 4,000 hours of treatment in the pelvic health field, Britta has established herself as THE go-to Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist in the York County and surrounding areas, with patients driving over an hour to experience relief from the gambit of pelvic floor dysfunction symptoms. Leveraging connections throughout the professional pelvic health community, she has been able to grow and excel in her field of expertise far beyond physical therapists that treat pelvic health without the specialization.

Prior to Pelvic Health

Motherhood ignited Britta’s interest in pelvic floor therapy, where she discovered the missing link to addressing many of her patients’ persistent symptoms. Before specializing in pelvic health, Britta spent 8 years treating in the outpatient ortho setting. Why is this significant? I’m so glad you asked. 😁

The importance of the pelvis is widely overlooked. Most aren’t aware that it plays a major role in most of the bodies functionality. Knowing what body mechanics and (seemingly) routine ailments can be improved by and treated for pelvic health dysfunction is crucial for a qualified pelvic health specialist to expedite recovery.

As such, Britta’s depth of knowledge in orthopedic and pelvic health will give you the best chance at a speedy recovery.
